Contract Type:             Full time – Permanent

Hours of work:            36 or 40 hours per week*

Salary Range:              £38,007 to £44,270 per annum*

Location:                      Telford – Covering Shropshire and Staffordshire

About the role:

We are looking for 2 multiskilled Heating Engineers to join maintenance and Installation teams.  Are you someone who can deliver a high-quality heating system maintenance to our tenants and care homes?  Do you have knowledge and experience of installation of boilers and heating systems? or do you have knowledge of compliance testing and repairs, incorporating a range of different fuel types including but not limited to domestic gas, oil and solid fuel?  If you are shouting YES, then please read on to find out more.

As a Maintenance Heating Engineer / Installation Engineer, you will:

  • Undertake heating engineering & plumbing duties including reactive repairs, servicing of boilers, fires and other appliances and associated works in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, industry best practice codes and practice and legislation.
  • Undertake installation of combi boilers and heating systems.
  • Issue notices and certificates required by the relevant regulations relating to gas safety.
  • Attend appointments as scheduled and instructed.
  • Provide information to allow records to be updated following service and testing and issue Landlord Gas Safety record using electronic or manual documentation.
  • Manage van stock and replenishments in an effective and efficient way and manage stock from authorised suppliers, materials required to undertake works through the approved order system.

About you:

To be considered, you will have a City and Guilds in either plumbing/ Gas fitting or equivalent. Completion of ACS or ACOPS assessment and hold a full UK driving licence.

Three years post qualification experience in a gas environment is the level of experience desirable for this position and a familiarisation of a range a gas central heating system is essential.
