Contract Type: 6 months Temporary Contract
Location: The Longford Centre, Cannock
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week available, covering a 7 day rota
Shift Pattern: 07:00am to 15:00pm
Salary: £12.73 per hour

The role:
Are you passionate about showcasing your cooking skills? This is a great opportunity for you to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our ShireLiving residents putting a smile on their faces. Our ShireLiving or supported housing facilities provide people over 55 years old a safe, secure, and caring environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will become a key part of the team to deliver catering services to our residents. Chasewood, in Cannock has 63 apartments that may be single or double occupied.

What you will be doing:
- Preparing quality food
- Managing kitchen operations
- Tracking inventory
- Ordering supplies
- Cleaning and organising the food preparation area
- Training new kitchen employees on standards and regulations
- Have a friendly approach towards visitors and residents
- Monitoring the kitchen area to ensure sanitation standards are maintained
About you:
- You will be someone who has the ability to create great food, that is well presented, full of flavour, balanced and nutritional
- You will have experience of ordering supplies and carrying out stock takes
- You will be someone who would embrace processes and procedures along with adding in a good measure of your creativity
- You will be open to new ideas and thinking out of the box
