The role:
When you step inside Springwood Extra Care home, you will leave the typical view of care homes behind you! Based in Shifnal, Springwood is a bright modern vibrant scheme with 70 spacious apartments with a lovely lounge area, restaurant open to public, fabulous guest facilities, garden, hobby room and parking facilities onsite.
We provide an exceptional standard of living to our residents with a focus on nurturing each individual to achieve personal goals to lead a meaningful life. Our residents love activities such as bingo, coffee mornings, colouring and knitting sessions, cheese and wine nights, cinema dates and theme events to name a few.
We have a fantastic position in our extra care scheme where we support people of over 55 years, who like to live an independent and active life. Our vision and values are centred around caring for the community and the people we support and, in this role, you will have a direct hand in making a difference to their life not only from a Care perspective but also from taking care of their Housing needs. Please note that there will be some evening and weekend shifts as part of your working week.

What will you be doing?:
No two residents or days will be the same and although our care and housing packages are adapted to individual needs, we pride ourselves on offering person centred care.
- You will lead the team in the delivery of excellent tenant focused service
- Deputise for the Housing and Care Manager and promote safety, security, and reassurance to customers by delivering excellent housing, care, and support services
- Support the management team with all aspects of team management including recruitment, induction, training, coaching and mentoring the Housing and Care Assistants
- Give advice, support, and assistance to customers who need to claim benefits and assist to ensure all income is collected
- Assist in the letting of new homes to the highest standard and manage each tenancy in line with the management process
About you:
- You will be approachable, friendly, and a mascot of our values which we live and breathe. You will be passionate about providing excellent housing and care services as well as great customer service.
- You will have an understanding of regulatory requirements
- Full UK driving licence with the flexibility to work across the region along with access to a vehicle
- Professional qualification or willingness to work towards it.
